Combining Forces

The East Texas Veterans Resource Center (ETVRC) has been made possible by the integration of services provided through grants. ETVRC has been awarded grants from the Texas Veterans Commission, the US Deprtment Of Veterans Affairs, and the Texas Department of Health and Human Services.

This program is supported by a grant from the Texas Veterans Commission Fund for Veterans' Assistance. The Fund for Veterans' Assistance provides grants to organizations serving veterans and their families.

Services ETVRC Provides:

  • Mental Heath Services Peer support services

  • Peer Group Support Meetings

  • Peer Support Trips to promote comradery

This program is supported by a grant from the US Department of Veterans Affairs SSGT Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program. The SSGT Fox Suicide Prevention Grant  Program provides grants to organizations serving veterans and their families.

Services ETVRC Provides:

  • Outreach to identify those at risk of suicide

  • Education of suicide risk and prevention to families and communities

  • ​Case management services

  • Peer Support services

  • Assistance with emergent needs relating to health care and daily living services.

Texas Department of State Health Services has developed the Military Veteran Peer Network (MVPN).

 

The MVPN is an affiliation of Service Members, Veterans and Family Members dedicated to establish camaraderie and trust with each other, identifying and vetting community resources and, collectively, contributing to the communities where we live.
